ABOUT THE PRESIDENT AND OWNER

Jeanne DaSilva, an experienced music executive and noted expert in Classical Repertoire and Music Licensing, has been working professionally in the Music Industry since 1980.  After working in both the commercial and non-profit sectors -- in areas as diverse as performance, education, research, legal, and managerial -- she has established her own company to serve the music and clearance needs of the production community.

Jeanne DaSilva has a broad background in rights clearances and negotiations, music supervision, catalog promotion, and union contracting.  She is currently working with clients who are in need of a consultant with intensive musical training; contacts in the recording and publishing industries; association with film, television, and advertising production; as well as experience in catalog promotion, marketing, and corporate partnerships.

SONY CLASSICAL, a division of Sony Music Entertainment Inc.
Associate Director, Licensing
- reports to VP, A&R Administration
    Responsible for the Promotion and Solicitation of Sony Classical new releases and catalog
      in film, television and advertising for Synchronization purposes on a Worldwide basis. 
    Negotiate rights and fees for synchronization licenses.
    Serves as classical creative consultant for Sony Music's West Coast licensing department
      and international network of affiliated licensing managers.
    Identify & assist in development of soundtracks and promotional opportunities for artist
      appearances in film, television, and advertising.
    Designed new procedures for New Media licensing such as CD-ROM, internet, and DVD,
      as well as pop-style sampling.
    Negotiated with American Federation of Musicians on behalf of Sony Classical, international
      affiliates, and some clients, regarding "new use" fees required by US orchestras.

Supervisor, Copyright Administration - reports to Sr. Director 
    Research, verify, and input data for Label Copy, including copyright notices, in computerized
      Archive System for all recordings and videos.
    Prepare Mastering Instructions for use by Marketing, Editorial, Copyright & Contract clearances.
